Spring wheat is a lush and palatable option for spring and summer plots. It should be planted in early spring, and will produce grain heads about 3 months later. It is great forage for deer or turkeys looking for early spring growth. 
 
*Unlike winter wheat, this product does not need a cold period to produce seed heads.
 
Spring wheat can also be used to attract game birds such as quail and doves. Many habitat managers interseed it with sorghum or sunflowers. 
 
Depth: 1" - 2" . Seed rate 50 to 100 pounds per acre for pure stand, less for a mix.
