Jerry oats are a common variety with a proven history. This variety can be used for forage, hay or as a companion crop. Typical seeding rates range from 32 pounds per acre as a companion to 90 pounds per acre for forage.
 
Depth: 1"-2". Seed Feb - April for spring/summer growth. Or seed Aug - Sep 10 for fall growth.  Oats will typically winter kill north of I-70.
