Persian clover is a newer variety being used for cover cropping and forage in the Midwest. It has increased root development speed over many other legumes, allowing it to thrive in most soils, but especially in sand. This increased vigor allows it to establish at rates similar to that of grains.
Persian clover is a great option for forage (CP of 18-24%) and can be cut or grazed multiple times. It has large, palatable leaves for maximum attraction.
ENhance has improved cold tolerance and can survive temperatures as low as -15!
For best results seed 2 to 5 pounds in a mixture. Seed Feb - April or July - Aug. Depth: 1/4 - 1/2".
