This mix contains a few native grass species with approximately 20 forbs and flowering species. It is designed to offer native habitat and be visually appealing. The grasses will not be more than 3 feet tall, allowing the blooming species to shine all season to attract pollinator species.
 
This mix is likely to bloom from April thru September. 
 
This mix is sold by the acre, and the seeding rate varies by lot, but typically the rate is between 2 and 4 pounds of seed per acre. We recommend adding a bushel of oats per acre for Feb - May seedings, and 20 pounds of wheat per acre for Nov - Feb seedings to help keep the weeds down.
 
As this mix is all native, it is slow to establish.  It often takes 1 to 3 years for many species to perform. In this establishment timeframe, do NOT mow. Just be patient. After this mix is a couple years old, it can be lightly disked or burnt to control weeds. 
 
For best results seed 1/4" deep.
