This tall native prairie grass can provide bedding and habitat. It typically attains heights of 6-8 feet once it is fully established.
 
For a full stand, seed 8 to 10 pounds live seed per acre. In a mix with other native grasses, use two to three pounds. Broadcast dormant seeding is best Dec - March. Drilled is best March - May. Seed 1/4" deep.
 
Pricing is listed for live seed. So for 2 pounds of live seed, you may receive 2.8 or so pounds once we account for the purity and germination! Variety and purity will vary by lot. 
 
Native seed is slow to establish. It may take 2 to 3 years. Do not mow during this time.
