Economy Alfalfa is a great option for short lived stands. For spots that are often overgrazed, under fertilized or frequently changed, this alfalfa fits the need! With average yield and a lifespan of 3-5 years in many situations, it is a great food plot alfalfa or to add in to waterways! Keep in mind that alfalfa seed should not be seeded into a field with existing alfalfa plants, as the old plants will not allow the new to establish.

Seed 20 to 30 pounds per acre for a pure stand or 15 to 20 pounds with grass and clover at 1/2" depth.
